The exhibition introduced the world of YU through installations, each offering a glimpse into a different part of the world—the book revealing what lives in the light, and the film exploring the shadows that surround it.

(1) server-room (book)

:the books were stored inside a server room, designed to contain and prevent light from spreading. 4 fridges held 140 sealed volumes, each containing a uniquely modified copy of [ WE WANT YU ]

(2) 4D-monument (film)

:the film was screened within the solid shadow of a 4-dimensional cube. A cross-shaped structure, finished in a matte black paint that absorbed 99.905% of light, created the illusion of a shadow with volume. Each of the 4 protruding boxes contained a viewfinder into the shadow itself, where the film could be viewed. The film’s score resonated through the space as deep sub-bass, with the full composition heard only from within the installation itself.
